Accounts
Plus500 offers two different types of accounts: a live funded account and a free demo trading account. The Plus500.com demo account comes complete with a trading platform and is for an unlimited-time, unlike most demo accounts, which are generally offered for a set time period.
Funded accounts require a minimum initial deposit of $100 and can be funded through Visa/MasterCard, MoneyBookers or through a wire transfer. The maximum leverage on Plus500 accounts is 1:30. Always keep your leverage low as increasing it also increases your risk. In other words, a high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you.
Transactions
Making an initial deposit for funding an account at Plus500.com can be done through a Visa or MasterCard credit card, MoneyBookers or through a wire transfer. Depositing funds through a Visa or MasterCard makes up the fastest way to begin trading. Going to the Plus500 cashier screen and filling out the credit card details is all that is needed to begin trading immediately.
Funding through Moneybookers can be just as easy. First, navigate to the “Funds Management” window in the trading platform, select the Moneybookers option, and fill in the Moneybookers e-mail address for the account being funded. A new pop up window will open where the Moneybookers transfer can be confirmed.
Deposits made to Plus500.com through a wire transfer can take up to three days to show up in the account. For transferring funds via wire transfer, go to the “Funds Management” window, click on the “Wire” option and then click on the “Send me Wire Details” button. Plus500.com will then email the customer wiring instructions. The minimum deposit for a wire transfer is £500.00.
Withdrawals from a Plus500.com account require that the customer present an official photo ID. The ID must be a valid passport, driver’s license or other official photo identification and must be presented before the customer is allowed to make a withdrawal.
Clients should allow up to 24 hours for Plus500.com to review the files. If the identification document cannot be scanned, the client can photograph the ID with a digital camera or a mobile phone and then upload it to the Plus500.com website.
