Features

In addition to trading in the forex market, the Plus500.com trading platform offers the capability of trading commodities, stocks, indexes, ETFs and CFDs, all from the same trading screen.

Dealing spreads for other currency pairs are just as competitive. Also, Plus500.com offers new traders a £20 real money “welcome bonus” on all new accounts, whether the new user makes an initial deposit or not. Plus500 bonus is applicable only in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Germany and UK. T&Cs apply. An additional bonus of up to 30% on initial deposits, which can be as much as £6,000 is offered once a trader is ready to fund a live account.

Always keep in mind that forex trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. You may lose more than your initial investment.

Accounts

Plus500 offers two different types of accounts: a live funded account and a free demo trading account. The Plus500.com demo account comes complete with a trading platform and is for an unlimited-time, unlike most demo accounts, which are generally offered for a set time period.

Funded accounts require a minimum initial deposit of $500 and can be funded through Visa/MasterCard, MoneyBookers or through a wire transfer. The maximum leverage on Plus500 accounts is 1:300. Always keep your leverage low as increasing it also increases your risk. In other words, a high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you.

Transactions

Making an initial deposit for funding an account at Plus500.com can be done through a Visa or MasterCard credit card, MoneyBookers or through a wire transfer. Depositing funds through a Visa or MasterCard makes up the fastest way to begin trading. Going to the Plus500 cashier screen and filling out the credit card details is all that is needed to begin trading immediately.

Funding through Moneybookers can be just as easy. First, navigate to the “Funds Management” window in the trading platform, select the Moneybookers option, and fill in the Moneybookers e-mail address for the account being funded. A new pop up window will open where the Moneybookers transfer can be confirmed.

Deposits made to Plus500.com through a wire transfer can take up to three days to show up in the account. For transferring funds via wire transfer, go to the “Funds Management” window, click on the “Wire” option and then click on the “Send me Wire Details” button. Plus500.com will then email the customer wiring instructions. The minimum deposit for a wire transfer is £500.00.

Withdrawals from a Plus500.com account require that the customer present an official photo ID. The ID must be a valid passport, driver’s license or other official photo identification and must be presented before the customer is allowed to make a withdrawal.

Clients should allow up to 24 hours for Plus500.com to review the files. If the identification document cannot be scanned, the client can photograph the ID with a digital camera or a mobile phone and then upload it to the Plus500.com website.

Risk disclaimer: Forex trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. You may lose more than your initial investment.

Platform

The Plus500.com trading platform can be used on a Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating system and comes in three different formats: a downloadable version that can be directly downloaded to your laptop or desktop, a web based version, which allows the trader to log on to any computer and access their trading account, and a mobile trading platform that can be accessed on cell phones and other devices.

One of the advantages of the Plus500.com trading platform in addition to its ease of use consists in the fact that the trading screen includes all the other financial assets available for trading besides forex. The platform screen includes menus for commodities, stocks, indexes, ETFs and CFDs as well as standard forex real time quotes.

The Plus500.com trading platform looks the same in all three versions, making it easier for the trader to input and execute trades from any machine or cell phone. Nevertheless, Plus500.com does not offer support for MetaTrader 4 or any other third party trading platform.

Support

Plus500.com offers 24/7 e-mail and chat support in multiple languages, nevertheless, the broker does not offer telephone support, which can be a disadvantage if the customer’s computer crashes or they lose internet service.

Safety

Plus500.com is authorized and regulated by the British Financial Conduct Authority in the UK, which puts them under the same regulatory requirements as other Financial Conduct Authority registered entities.

Overall

Plus500.com makes an excellent choice for non-U.S. traders. The easy to use interface of their trading platform allows the trader to better concentrate on the market without unnecessary distractions, while the generous bonuses offered for initial deposits make an added incentive for experienced traders.
